Mediterranean Wines
LA TRAPADELL 2021
Mediterranean wines are born to highlight minority grape varieties that grow in the soils and mesoclimates of the Mediterranean arc. It is a research and collaborative project with local entities and winemakers.
THE ESTATE
An emblematic agricultural estate of Marina Alta (Alicante), located in Les Basses de Teulada. It features gentle slopes and is situated on a hill of white limestone and clay soils with a high proportion of white chalk, oriented to the east. The vineyard benefits from the humidity of the Font de l’Horta ravine and the sea breeze from the Mediterranean. Trapadell is organically cultivated and certified by the Committee of Organic Agriculture of the Valencian Community (CAECV).
LA TRAPADELL 2021
Single-varietal white wine made from Trapadell, a minority variety currently undergoing recovery. Carefully hand-harvested with double selection in the vineyard and winery. Fermented with the skins in stainless steel tanks. No pump-overs are performed, leaving a static cap of skins. Temperature controlled below 20 °C for 25 days. During the final phase of fermentation, the wine is racked and gently pressed. Aged on fine lees for 8 months in ceramic jars.
TASTING NOTES
La Trapadell has a bright golden-yellow color. On the nose, aromas of dried leaves, citrus, and white flowers characteristic of the variety stand out. Long passage on the palate with good acidity. The pulp texture provides medium structure. A commanding wine with great aging potential.
A 100% terroir wine.
